Coherent calcium puff signals driven by intracellular noises

► A model is applied to simulate calcium puffs released from a cluster of channels. ► The puffs are discussed with intrinsic channel noise or environmental Ca2+ noise. ► Channel noise and calcium noise both can induce coherence resonance behavior. ► Coherent puffs with enhanced periodicity are achieved with Ca2+ noise more easily.
