Quantum walks: Decoherence and coin-flipping games

► We studied decoherence in the Quantum Walk on the line. ► The decoherence is introduced either through periodic measurements or broken links. ► Periodic measurements drive the system to classical diffusive behavior. ► Periodic measurements allow to build a quantum analog of the spin-flip game. ► Depending on how links are broken may drive the system to Markovian behavior.
