Evaluation of the temporal structure of postural sway fluctuations based on a comprehensive set of analysis tools

► We evaluate postural sway dynamics in quiet standing versus dual-task standing. ► Besides the estimation of the amount of body sway, we analyse its temporal structure. ► Structural parameters better discriminate between the two stance conditions. ► Longer stance durations improve the quantification of postural fluctuation pattern. ► Adaptation to postural modifications takes place on different timescales.
