Fractal descriptors based on Fourier spectrum applied to texture analysis

► Image is transformed to the Fourier spectrum. ► Fractal dimension curve is extracted from the spectrum. ► Multiscale transform is applied to the fractal dimension curve. ► A fractal descriptor is obtained and used as feature vector. ► The feature vector is used to characterize the image patterns as textures.
