The spatial distribution of clusters and the formation of mixed languages in bilingual competition

► We model the competition between two languages based on cellular automata. ► We examine the evolution of spatial distribution of the two languages. ► Line-shaped cluster boundaries are found to present long-time coexistence. ► Mixed languages appear during communication in a long enough simulation.
