The influence of learning and updating speed on the growth of commercial websites

► We propose one commercial website competition model with the speed of learning and updating. ► We analyze the effect of learning and updating speed on the sites' growth from a nonlinear dynamics perspective. ► As the speed of learning and updating crosses a threshold, sites will periodically fluctuate. ► The explicit formulas determining the stability and periodic fluctuation of commercial sites are given.
