Simulation of exit choosing in pedestrian evacuation with consideration of the direction visual field

► Develop a modified floor field model which considers the direction visual field for exit choosing in evacuation process. ► The new model can better reproduce the evacuation process and reduce evacuation time apparently. ► The new model is robust to the initial distribution of pedestrians and the shape of the specified zone with highly concentrated pedestrians.
