Time development of two and three-dimensional self-gravitating system using initial Dirac delta function distribution

► We extend study of one-dimensional gravitational gas with initial Dirac distribution. ► We extend calculations to two and three dimensions. ► A result obtained is the propagation of positive density bumps, or inhomogeneities. ► Another result is the observation of splitting of the bumps. ► Such results are not seen in the one-dimensional theory.
