Classical and fractal analysis of vehicle demand on the ferry-boat system

► We apply DFA and classical statistical methods (ARIMA and mobile average) to a vehicle flow problem.► We discuss the use of Tsallis statistics to analyze the stationary behavior of time series. ► We observe that the non-linear Fokker-Planck equation qualitatively explains the qualitative behavior of the vehicle demand. ► We study the ferry-boat system based on time series of vehicle demand.
