Criterions for locally dense subgraphs

► This study contributes to the community detection problem in complex networks. ► I propose a new definition for communities, based on separation and cohesion. ► I introduce a new community detection method, based on the proposed definition. ► Results on common benchmarks and empirical graphs are given.
