Effect of random crystal field on semi infinite system

► The effects of random crystal-field on the semi-infinite magnetic system are investigated by MFA. ► The partly ferromagnetic phase in bulk gives rise to different types of phase diagrams. ► A tricritical surface transition, where the surface and the bulk occupied by mb=ms=1/2, appears.
