Generalizing Planck's distribution by using the Carati-Galgani model of molecular collisions

► We investigate the Carati-Galgani model of molecular collisions. ► The exchange of energy, in molecular collisions, follows the Lévy type statistics. ► Our results should be applied in the regime of metaequilibrium states. ► We propose a generalization of Planck's law compatible with the superstatistics.
