Theoretical study of the decaying convective turbulence in a shear-buoyancy PBL

► The model is based on the dynamical equation for the energy density spectrum (EDS). ► The Adomian decomposition method to solve the equation is utilized in this study. ► Comparison of the theoretical model is performed against large-eddy simulation (LES). ► The results show a reduction of the EDS in a shear-buoyancy PBL in an accentuated way.
