Calibration of a stochastic health evolution model using NHIS data

► In this study we calibrate an individual's stochastic health evolution model. ► We construct a health status index to describe an individual's health status. ► We construct a health risk factor system to classify individuals into risk groups. ► We calibrate the health evolution model by using the NHIS data. ► Validation using the HRS data displays good properties of the calibrated model.
