Semi-flexible interacting self-avoiding trails on the square lattice

► We studied a model of interacting self-avoiding trails in the presence of stiffness. ► The collapse transition is not affected for a wide range of stiffness weights. ► The transition might become first order in the limit of infinite stiffness. ► There continues to be only a single low-temperature phase, which is maximally dense.
