An optimal control approach to probabilistic Boolean networks

► We deal with an optimal intervention problem in a probabilistic Boolean network. ► We apply the theory of discrete time Markov decision process. ► The optimality problem is solved by minimizing the expected first passage time. ► We find optimal treatments that make patient recovery from illness as soon as possible.
