Ambiguities in Bandt-Pompe's methodology for local entropic quantifiers

► The Bandt-Pompe approach for associating PDF's to time-series is reviewed. ► Only for local entropies has the approach been thus far used. ► We add here its application to local quantifiers and encounter ambiguities. ► These are studied with reference to Fisher's information measure. ► We advance a technique that resolves the ambiguities.
