Scenarios of land use and land cover change in the conterminous United States: Utilizing the special report on emission scenarios at ecoregional scales

► We downscale IPCC SRES land-use scenarios to ecological regions of the U.S. ► Scenarios are developed at hierarchical scales for all major LULC sectors. ► Scenario projections result in a wide range of future LULC conditions. ► Competition for land use will impact ecoregions with abundant natural resources. ► Economically oriented scenarios result in high demand for competing land uses.
