Natural occurrence of deoxynivalenol in wheat from Paraná State, Brazil and estimated daily intake by wheat products

► We detected deoxynivalenol in 66.4% of wheat samples analysed. ► The total estimated daily intake of DON in Londrina, Brazil was 1.13 μg/kg/day. ► Constant monitoring on mycotoxin levels is necessary to minimise health risks.
