Evaluation of mutagenic and antimutagenic activities of oligorutin and oligoesculin

► Rutin and esculin were polymerised. ► Oligorutins were obtained through C-C, CO and C-C linkages. ► Oligoesculins were obtained through C-C linkages. ► Oligorutin and oligoesculin fractions show no mutagenicity using “Ames test”. ► Oligomers show high antimutagenic effects against positive controls using “Ames assay”.
