Utility of solid phase spectrophotometry for the modified determination of trace amounts of cadmium in food samples

► We use BTAHNA as a reagent for the determination of trace Cd(II) by SPS method. ► Calibration is linear over the range 0.2-3.5 μg L−1. ► The proposed method has been applied for determination of Cd(II) in food samples.
