Determination of element contents in herbal drugs: Chemometric approach

► This study is targeted to determine the element contents of 23 herbal drugs. ► Cd, Cr, Pb and Ni were lower than permissible limit as prescribed by WHO. ► Chemometric procedures appear useful tools for the classification of herbal drugs. ► Chemometrics can be used in quality control of drugs to ensure their safety.
