Preparative separation of punicalin from waste water of hydrolysed pomegranate husk by macroporous resin and preparative high-performance liquid chromatography

► We established a new method for isolation and purification of punicalin. ► Seven macroporous resins were used to separate punicalin from waste water of hydrolyzed pomegranate husk. ► H-103 resin was shown good adsorption and desorption among seven resins. ► High purity punicalin was obtained after purified by preparative HPLC.
