► Seasonal effect on Sonoran propolis (composition and biology activity) was studied. ► Seasonality did not significantly change the chemical composition of propolis. ► Season had an important effect on the antiproliferative activity of propolis. ► Spring propolis showed the highest inhibitory effect on the growth of cancer cells.
