Determination of THMs in soft drink by solid-phase microextraction and gas chromatography

► A HS-SPME procedure using CAR-PDMS fibre was optimised and proved to be precise, accurate and reached low limits of detection. ► The proposed methodology was applied to determine THMs in 74 samples of soft drinks. ► Several samples exceeded the permissible limit of THMs of countries, such as, Germany for drinking water.
