Striking effects of cobalt (III) nuclearity in fused salphen complexes on their electroconductivity and thin film transistor activity

- New di- and trinuclear cobalt complexes of fully-conjugated fused salphen ligands were prepared.
- The trinuclear complex afforded a conductivity of 5.8 × 10−3 S cm−1, which is as high as 70 times of dinuclear one.
- The trinuclear complex showed a transistor activity, while the dinuclear one did not.
