Compliant alkali silicate sealing glass for solid oxide fuel cell applications: Thermal cycle stability and chemical compatibility

▶ A novel alkali silicate glass was evaluated for SOFC application. ▶ Distinct thermal behavior was observed for the compliant glass. ▶ The compliant glass showed desirable thermal cycle stability and hermetic behavior. ▶ The glass was found to be chemical compatible with SOFC components.
