The electrochemical behaviour of the carbon-coated Ni0.5TiOPO4 electrode material

▶ The electrochemical performances of Ni0.5TiOPO4 (NTP) were improved by carbon coating. ▶ NTP exhibits an irreversible lithiation reaction during the first discharge. ▶ This irreversibility was attributed to an 'amorphization' of the active material. ▶ Capacities of NTP were around 200 mAh g−1 with an acceptable rate capability.
