Magnetic and dielectric characterization of alginic acid-Fe3O4 nanocomposite

► Alginic acid-Fe3O4 nanocomposite was synthesized by precipitation of Fe3O4 in the presence of alginic acid. ► Structural, morphological, and dielectric properties of the nanocomposite were evaluated. ► The synthesized amino acid- magnetic nanoparticles might be applied to cell separation, diagnosis and targeted drug delivery for cancer therapy. ► This process may have potential applications to synthesize including essential amino acids and some proteins coating.
