Triorganotin(IV) complexes of pyruvic acid-N(4)-cyclohexylthiosemicarbazone (HPACT): Synthesis, characterization, crystal structure and in vitro antibacterial activity

► Two new triorganotin(IV) complexes with pyruvic acid-N(4)-cyclohexylthiosemicarbazone are described. ► X-ray structure of [Bu3Sn(PACT)] (1) revealed the tin(IV) atom is four-coordinated in a distorted tetrahedral geometry. ► Complexes have exhibited the better antibacterial activity. ► The ligand and its triorganotin(IV) complexes (1, 2) are stable under N2 atmosphere.
