Photooxidation of 4-chlorophenol sensitized by lutetium tetraphenoxy phthalocyanine anchored on electrospun polystyrene polymer fiber

► Lutetium phthalocyanine was incorporated into an electrospun fiber. ► The modified fiber was used for phototransformation of 4-chlorophenol. ► The main products of phototransformation are hydroquinone and benzoquinone. ► Lutetium phthalocyanine is a more efficient photocatalyst than zinc phthalocyanine.
