Synthesis and characterization of a versatile bis(pyridylether) ligand and its complexes with Ag(I), Cu(II) and Co(II)

Ligand L reacts with AgNO3 to give a polymer, with Cu(ClO4)2 to give a bridged dinuclear complex, and with Co(NCS)2 to give a monomeric octahedral complex.
