Preparation, properties and structure of uncommon (10,3)-a netted rare earth complexes with an amide type tripodal ligand

Solid complexes of rare earth nitrates with a new amide type tripodal ligand L have been prepared. The crystal structure of [Sm(NO3)3L]n shows the first example of a (10,3)-a net directed by RE(III) ions with a tripodal ligand. The luminescence properties of the Eu(III) and Tb(III) complexes were also studied.
