Induction of apoptosis in HuH-7 cancer cells by monoterpene and β-carboline indole alkaloids isolated from the leaves of Tabernaemontana elegans

The apoptosis induction activity of Tabernaemontana elegans indole alkaloids 17 in human hepatoma cells is reported. Structure elucidation of novel compound 4 is also documented.
