► Calcium phosphate powders are obtained from the crushed shells of 2 “marine” species & H3PO4. ► Chemical transformation into calcium phosphates by hotplate and ultrasound methods ► The obtained calcium phosphate crystalline phases depend on shell type. ► Whitlockite developed in heat treated powders is a desirable phase for bone repair.
