Low temperature biosynthesis of Li2O-MgO-P2O5-TiO2 nanocrystalline glass with mesoporous structure exhibiting fast lithium ion conduction

► A biomimetic method has been established to synthesize solid-state electrolyte. ► Li2O-MgO-P2O5-TiO2 nanocrystalline glass has mesoporous structure. ► The formation mechanism is revealed by characterizing surface morphology of sample. ► Li1 + 2xMgxTi2 − x(PO4)3 (x = 0.5) reaches the highest total conductivity value. ► Li1 + 2xMgxTi2 − x(PO4)3 (x = 0.5) passes through a minimum activation energy value.
