Porous silicon with embedded metal oxides for gas sensing applications

► We obtained nanostructured materials by sol-gel method on various substrates. ► These nanostructures based on oxides of tin, iron and nickel. ► We found that the structures with metal oxides nanoparticles introduced had the highest. ► We conclude that sensory nanostructures on porous silicon have a more developed surface.
