Chemical durability and weathering resistance of canasite based glass and glass-ceramics

► Classic and high content silica canasite glass ceramic & matrix were characterized. ► Chemical durability and weathering resistance were tested and compared. ► High content silica sample shows better stability except for alkaline condition. ► The appearance and mechanism of chemical durability & weathering was discussed.
