The effect of ionic and metallic silver on the crystalline phases developed in CaO-Al2O3-TiO2-P2O5 glasses

► We examined the effect of ionic and metallic silver on the crystallization development of phosphate based glasses. ► Hydrogen heat treatment activates formation of metallic silver. ► Metallic silver promotes crystallization by effective decreasing of the crystallization temperatures.
