Preparation of pH responsive porous glass by surface modification with COOH group

- pH responsive porous glass was successfully obtained by its surface modification with COOH group.
- The response speed under acidic condition was twice as large as that under basic condition.
- COOH group state on porous glass surface shrinked under acidic condition, whereas expanded under basic condition.
