Pile-up effect on nanoindentation tests with spherical-conical tips

This work evaluates the influence of the phenomenon of piling up onto the values of hardness and Young's modulus determined by nanoindentation tests with spherical/conical tips. The experimental programme was completed with a numerical simulation of the tests using a finite element code.
