Threshold pressure for infiltration of ceramic compacts containing fine powders

The threshold pressures for infiltration of Al2O3, TiC, and SiC compacts containing fine powders with particle sizes ranging from 0.3 μm to 5 μm were determined using a high-pressure centrifugal infiltration process. The equation to predict the threshold pressure derived from the capillary law was also verified and discussed.
