Chaos dynamics in vertical-cavity surface-emitting semiconductor lasers with polarization-selected optical feedback

► Chaotic dynamics in optical feedback-induced VCSELs are investigated. ► Fully-developed chaos, LFFs, and coexistence of LFFs and stable state are observed. ► State maps of the chaotic dynamics are drawn for bias injection current and feedback rate. ► The theoretical results derived from the spin-flip mode agree with the experiments.
