Relationship between fatigue limit and Vickers hardness in steels

▶ Murakami's approach to metal fatigue can be used considering indentation as defect. ▶ Plastically deformed zone around indentations can be considered the starter of fatigue cracks. ▶ Experimental measurement of the deformed zone gives the best estimation of fatigue limit.
