Effect of volume fraction and particle size of alumina reinforcement on compaction and densification behavior of Al-Al2O3 nanocomposites

▶ A homogenous distribution of second phase particles in Al matrix was obtained by ball milling. ▶ Presence of rigid particles inhibits grain growth and sintering. ▶ Higher volume fraction or smaller particle size of reinforcement phase improve its effects.
