On deformation twinning in a 17.5% Mn-TWIP steel: A physically based phenomenological model

▶ Physically based phenomenological model (dislocations, SFE, twin volume fraction). ▶ Twins nucleation and evolution is modeled based on physical considerations. ▶ The model is able to capture the exceptional work hardening of TWIP steel. ▶ SEM and TEM observations are used to support the model predictions.
