On the volume change in Co-Ni-Al during pseudoelasticity

▶ The volumetric strain is measured as 2% for CoNiAl. ▶ Novel experimental techniques were used to measure the strains. ▶ Lattice constant measurements also result in tensile volumetric strains. ▶ This magnitude of strain is unusually high for shape memory alloys. ▶ Pseudoelasticity depends on the Md − Af differential.
