Computer controlled detonation spraying of WC/Co coatings containing MoS2 solid lubricant

► Detonation spraying of mechanically mixed WCCo/MoS2 powders was performed. ► Residual content of MoS2 in applied coating depends much on the spraying mode. ► Use of the cold spraying mode enables to keep MoS2 in applied coating. ► At the cold mode sprayed particles are heated to temperature below Co melting point.
