The growth of single Fe2B phase on low carbon steel via phase homogenization in electrochemical boriding (PHEB)

► A new boriding method was introduced to form a single-phase Fe2B layer. ► We call the new method “phase homogenization in electrochemical boriding” (PHEB). ► Compared to the conventional processes, PHEB method provides high growth rates. ► The whole PHEB practice can be considered safe and environmentally friendly.
