Fabrication and microstructure characterization of selective laser‐melted FeAl intermetallic parts

► Selective laser melting was used to manufacture FeAl intermetallic parts. ► Processing map for FeAl was proposed. ► Dense FeAl parts like bulk materials were fabricated. ► Not only a smoother surface but also a high microhardness can be obtained. ► There isn't much change in phase composition.
